XiVE: Implantology Unlimited – in any situation

04-01-2008 | The implant system for the greatest possible prosthetic and surgical flexibility.

XiVE offers exactly this for the user: the smallest gaps or an edentulous, atrophied jaw, hard or soft bone, singe session or two sessions, immediate or late loading, the range of treatment options leaves the decision up to the implantologist. And with the prosthetic flexibility of the system, which is appreciated by dental technicians all over the world, the implantologist has a simple, practical solution for every problem.
A special feature of the system is the superior primary stability in all classes of bone. It is the result of the interplay of the patented, innovative thread design and the surgical preparation technique and it allows the implantologist to plan the success of the procedure. XiVE was introduced in 2003 and is now available in more than 40 countries.

XiVE – comprehensive implant selection for all cases
XiVE implants are available in five different diameters and six lengths, which makes them the right solution even for unusual jaw anatomy. Depending on the case, the implantologist can also select subgingival XiVE S or transgingival XiVE TG implants. The unified endosseous implant design even allows the decision to be made during the operation. This means that the implantologist elects a system that is not only ideal for the anatomy of the patient but also ideal for the bone quality. XiVE 3.0, one of the smallest two-component implant solutions in the world, can be used to close even the smallest gaps in the front tooth region.

Primary stability where others meet their limits
Primary stability is an important factor in every implant placement. With XiVE the implantologist can fully rely on the primary stability even where the bone structure is unfavorable. The bone-specific preparation protocol establishes the basis for excellent primary stability in all bone qualities during preparation of the implant site. The condensing implant design of XiVE also contributes to the primary stability, because during the bone-specific preparation the extended crestal component of the implant condenses the peri-implant bone atraumatically during the screwing-in process. This ensures optimum retention in reduced or soft bone quality along with the best prerequisites for optimum healing and early loading of the implant. The clinically proven growth-activating FRIADENT plus surface also promotes safe and stable healing in the bone, because the sandblasted and etched three-dimensional surface structure of the implant promotes deposition of bone-forming cells on the implant and after a short time it forms a homogenous bond with the surrounding bone. This also promotes bone formation and offers a predictable treatment result even in a difficult initial clinical situation.

Flexible treatment protocol – freedom for therapeutic decisions
The flexible XiVE treatment protocol allows the user to select a single session or two-session protocol with the same endosseous preparation and therefore without requiring additional instruments and also during the operation. The system also makes it easy to decide in favor of immediate or late implant placement with or without immediate restoration with the system-independent TempBase solution, which provides seating instrument, impression coping and crown base simultaneously. This means that the XiVE treatment protocol also offers the freedom to select the therapy that you want.

Prosthetic versatility
The XiVE prosthetic system is as versatile and as individual as the challenges and patient wishes that confront an implantologist every day. Whether crown, fixed bridge or removable denture – the prefabricated components from Standard to Premium allow the greatest possible freedom of treatment. If the implant is not optimally placed during surgery, the dental technician can still achieve optimum esthetics with the XiVE AuroBase. A perfect result can be achieved in every case with FRIADENT EstheticBase and CERCON as customized abutments – regardless of the initial situation. And the special TempBase concept allows an immediate restoration with a high-quality provisional denture in many cases. Under favorable conditions even immediate loading is possible. XiVE S above all offers a genuine advantage here: TempBase is premounted as a seating coping in this range of implants. The TempBase is the base – the provisional abutment – on which the temporary restoration is placed. The implant can be placed and restored with a provisional denture at the same time in one single session. The non-functional immediate restoration makes the second surgical procedure for uncovery unnecessary. With covered healing the index registration can be done immediately after implant placement. During the healing period the laboratory can fabricate an accurately fitted provisional restoration with this impression, which can be delivered after uncovery of the implant. The TempBase even gives the implantologists the option of fabricating an immediately loaded provisional restoration on splinted XiVE S implants under favorable conditions. This procedure allows effective bone training right from the start with the favorable properties offered by the primary stability of XiVE. Studies have confirmed that osseointegration is promoted by controlled loading of the implant immediately after placement. The direct intelligent integration of the provisional restoration during implant placement or at implant uncovery provides optimum support of the biological regeneration potential of the soft tissue. Even if the hard tissue or soft tissue is affected, a well-formed gingival contour can be achieved with XiVE.
