A perfectly precise impression of the clinical situation is the main prerequisite for a successful restoration. A transfer check should always be made.

The laboratory uses the impression as a template for fabrication of the model and the wax-up. Both are sent to Compartis.

Scan&Design
Compartis scans the model and the wax-up with the highest precision and prepares a patient-specific suggested design for the proposed construction. The virtual 3-D design is sent to the dental laboratory, where it can be examined and requests for modification can be relayed.

CAM
Once the dental laboratory has approved the design, Compartis prepares a customized milling strategy. The program takes patient-specific planning data into account as well as material-specific or technical fabrication parameters. Then the construction is milled from zirconium, titanium or cobalt-chrome.

Fabrication
Once the structure has been received, the bar prosthesis is fabricated in the laboratory and the construction is veneered for an esthetic finish.
