DENTSPLY Friadent begins scientific partnership with the University of Gothenburg

06-28-2007 | DENTSPLY Friadent, one of the worldwide leading companies in innovative dental solutions in implantology, has entered into a scientific partnership with the well-known University of Gothenburg in Sweden.

The purpose of the partnership is to conduct scientific and clinical research at the highest level as well as to support the education of students of dentistry, to offer continuing education to current practitioners of implantology in order to offer the highest possible level of treatment to patients.

The world renowned dental faculty of the University of Gothenburg has been a leader in scientific and clinical research into endosseous implantology for many years. The partnership contract will support and develop experimental, preclinical and clinical research projects at the highest scientific level. Fields of concentration will include optimization and continuing development of the implant surface and cost-efficient and patient-friendly concepts in implant prosthetics.

As part of the partnership's efforts to develop specialized education in the field of implantol-ogy, students will receive special training in post-graduate courses with the innovative systems supplied by the Mannheim-based implant manufacturer. Qualified and already practicing dentists will also have the opportunity to obtain additional qualifications in the use of DENTSPLY Friadent implant systems from experienced implantologists at the university.
