Scientific partnership for DENTSPLY Friadent

After the announcement of the scientific partnership with the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, DENTSPLY Friadent now announces another partnership with a university: the Catholic University of Louvain established the new "Materialise Dental and DENTSPLY Friadent Chair for Implant Supported Oral Rehabilitation" in partnership with DENTSPLY Friadent and Materialise Dental at the end of May.

“The demand for perfect esthetics is now an integral part of modern implantology and we need simpler, more customized solutions. Among the basic knowledge that our students will require is how to prepare the implant placement and how to select the right implant system to achieve perfect esthetics,” stated Professor Ignace Naert, Professor for Prosthetic Dentistry and professor appointed to the new chair at the Catholic University of Louvain, after signing the partnership agreement.

DENTSPLY Friadent, a world leader in the manufacture of dental implants, and Materialise Dental, a specialist in computer-supported planning software for implants, have set the pace for significant developments in this area with the new partnership, and they will now be able to apply their accumulated expertise to the continuing development of implantology even more effectively. This knowledge will also benefit other areas of dentistry in the future.
