DENTSPLY Friadent supports the Occlusal Compass competition

DENTSPLY Friadent, one of the leading companies offering implant-supported dental solutions, is a sponsor of the Fifth International Occlusal Compass competition. The most important international prize for dental technicians is awarded every two years at the International Dental Show (IDS).

The goal of the competition is to promote functional and esthetically demanding dental technology and to present the products of high-quality dental technology to dentists. Restoration of a defined case
The competition consists of restoring an 80-year-old patient with an edentulous maxilla with a removable palate-free denture supported by implants at 15, 12, 21, 22, 24 with taper connections (ANKYLOS implant system, indexed). Two implant-supported crowns with Balance anterior abutments (ANKYLOS implant system, non-indexed) must be fabricated at 41 and 31 in the mandible. All interested dental technicians can register by January 26, 2009, regardless of whether they are in private practice or work in dental practice laboratories.

Winners may receive cash prizes, have their work shown at IDS 2009 in Cologne and be published in dental journals. Winners will be in the spotlight of international dentistry.
