The fast temporary denture

What do patients who present at the dental practice with a gap want? They want to leave the practice with teeth that look just like their own original teeth. The practitioner is faced with the challenge of making the temporary denture look exactly like the subsequent prosthetics. The XiVE TempBase concept by DENTSPLY Friadent coupled with favorable initial conditions makes it easy and quick to fabricate a fixed, esthetically attractive temporary denture – for single-tooth restorations and also for complex restorations. The 3-in-1 concept includes placement head, abutments for index impression and temporary abutment for the temporary restoration. An additional temporary abutment is not required – saving time and money.

The multitalent

The TempBase concept gives practitioners a multifunctional treatment concept for all bone qualities, healing and loading options, enabling them to deliver implants quickly and safely.
First, the TempBase can act as a placement head for implants. In this case the TempBase remains in the implant after it has been screwed in for use in making an index impression or for a temporary restoration.
Second, the TempBase Cap, a prefabricated plastic cap, can be used to make an index impression immediately after implant placement in a two-stage procedure. The laboratory fabricates a high-quality, accurately fitted temporary denture during the healing phase with this impression, which the dentist then delivers immediately after uncovery of the implants.
Third, the TempBase can act as a base for temporary restorations in a single-session procedure, where this is clinically possible. Then a high-quality implant-supported temporary denture can be fabricated at chairside with the aid of the TempBase Cap immediately after placement of the implants. This makes the second surgical procedure for uncovery unnecessary and also this procedure has the advantage that it promotes osseointegration by controlled load transfer to the implant immediately after placement.
