Computer-guided implant placement with ExpertEase is now available for ANKYLOS C/X implants. The guided surgery solution from DENTSPLY Friadent and the new ANKYLOS ExpertEase instruments can now be used to place any implant accurately and safely. The ideal position for ANKYLOS implants (1 – 1.5 mm subcrestal) can be transferred accurately to the patient's mouth with the ExpertEase drill guide and the ANKYLOS Guided-Surgery instruments. Another advantage of ANKYLOS ExpertEase is the option of setting the implants parallel for even simpler implementation of the SynCone immediate treatment concept in the edentulous mandible.

The complete treatment sequence including selection of the optimum prosthetic abutment is managed with the ExpertEase software. The virtual 3D implant planning ensures the precise planning of the implant position in the jaw. The surgeon receives a complete, accurate scan of the patient's anatomy in an interactive environment for selection and placement of implants and abutments. ExpertEase also visualizes the bone density category of the patient. Additionally, the system offers automatic collision checking in the planning phase for additional safety – if the distance between the implants or from the nerve is inadequate this is signaled.

The ExpertEase drill guides are manufactured individually by stereolithography for every patient. The ExpertEase guides assist with the precise preparation of the implant site to the sub-millimeter range and the implant is guided through the guide for secure positioning. The surgeon can also specify bone-supported, tooth-supported or gingiva-supported guides. This allows the surgeon to use a flapless procedure and promotes fast healing of the gingiva with increased comfort for the patient.

Precise guided implant placement for ANKYLOS

The special Sleeve-on-Drill system offers additional convenience with the ANKYLOS ExpertEase twist drills and Tri-Spade drills and dispenses with the requirement for a "third hand." The drill-stop system ensures exact depth control and the drill is guided accurately in the ExpertEase drill guide with the guide sleeve that can be fixed to the instrument.
The new instruments required for guided implant placement are supplied in the ANKYLOS ExpertEase surgical kit and are easy to identify. The instruments for the ANKYLOS C/X implants are organized by sequence of use in the surgical kit, ensuring fast and simple implant site preparation without time-consuming patient-specific surgical protocols
